đŦChat with clients
This feature is designed not just to facilitate communication but to transform it into a seamless, integrated experience.
By streamlining conversations, you and your clients gain a consolidated view of all interactions, ensuring nothing gets lost in the shuffle.
For your clients, the messaging module is a powerful tool that lives inside the client portal.
How does this work?
Our messaging app is really similar to whatsapp groups.
Basically, you can create what we call "chat rooms" (equivalent of whatsapp groups). A chat room has a name (usually the client name) and participants.
Participants can be internal users and/or clients.
By default, if you create a chat room, you'll be added to the room. You can add or remove participants at any moment
Similar to workspaces, Clients will see the chat rooms to which you've added them.
Should I have only one chat room per client?
In most cases, we recommend having only one chat room per client to keep things simple.
However, if you're working on large projects with some clients with different stakeholders then it would make sens to create different chat rooms.
Adding and Removing Participants
To add participants:
1. Ensure your clients have an active account on your client portal. Or create a portal and invite them.
2. Once they've activated their account, you can add them to a chat room as participants.
What about notifications for new messages in a chat room.
Both clients and internal users receive email notifications every 30 minutes for unread messages.
They can reply in the client portal or simply by replying to the email (this will log the message in the chat room)
What's on the Horizon?
We're always looking to enhance your experience. Here are some features you can look forward to:
Search functionality for chat rooms and messages
Ability to share files
Archive functionality for chat rooms
Create a chat room for client announcements (read-only for clients)
